With a BA in Cinema from FAAP and a graduate degree in Media, Information and Culture from Universidade de São Paulo, Erika Alexandra Balbino began her career working in production companies in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

After three years as a producer, she spent another eight at the Communications department of a state-owned company in São Paulo. Afterwards, she joined the world of Public Relations and Media Relations.

With vast experience in publications, magazines, story pitching, event organising and marketing strategies, she inaugurated her communication agency, Baobá Comunicação, Cultura e Conteúdo, in October 2007.

She’s the author of the children’s book “Num Tronco de Iroko Vi a Iúna Cantar", released in May 2014 by Editora Peirópolis and selected that same year by FNLIJ for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. In 2017 she released her second book, “O Osso: Poder e Permissão”.
